Frequently asked questions
Sessions are 55 minutes. How often we meet really depends on you—your goals, your needs, and what’s coming up in your life. Most people start with weekly sessions and then space them out over time as they start feeling more resourced and grounded.
I often say, my goal is to work myself out of a job because that means you're doing well and feeling more like yourself again.
Yes, I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna and Evernorth, Optum, Quest Behavioral Health, United Medical Resources (UMR) and UnitedHealthcare (UHC).
I’m also in the process of joining the network for BlueCross and BlueShield.
If I’m not in-network with your plan, I can provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.
I understand that things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or no-showed will incur a $100 fee. If you're more than 15 minutes late, the session will be considered a no-show. Thank you for respecting this time we’ve set aside for your care.
I currently offer virtual sessions only. This format provides flexibility and comfort, allowing you to access therapy from wherever feels safe and supportive: your home, your office, or any private space.
Sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. All you need is a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a quiet space where you can be present.
Please note: due to licensing regulations, I can only work with clients who are physically located in Arizona, Colorado, or Florida at the time of the session.
That’s completely okay and actually very common. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if it’s your first time or if you've had mixed experiences in the past. My role is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can show up just as you are. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I’ll guide you through the process with care and collaboration.
Therapy is about meeting yourself with compassion, and you’ve already taken a brave first step just by considering it.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based and holistic therapies to meet your unique needs. Some of the primary modalities I incorporate include:
EMDR
Parts Work (IFS-informed)
Somatic Therapy
Energy Psychology
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Attachment-Based Therapy
Compassion-Focused Therapy
Existential Therapy
Transpersonal Therapy
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can explore if we’re a good fit. I truly believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship — and that means finding the right person for you.
Whether it becomes clear in our consult, after a few sessions, or even after a year of working together, it’s okay if I’m not that person. I may not be the right therapist for everyone, and that’s something I fully honor. Sometimes my role is simply to help you get clear on what you need and point you in the right direction.
Yes, everything you share in therapy is kept private and confidential, with a few legal exceptions. As a licensed therapist and mandated reporter, I am required by law to break confidentiality if there is reason to believe there is imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly, or vulnerable adult.
Outside of these situations, your privacy is protected and respected. Creating a safe, trustworthy space is one of my highest priorities.
